HISPANIC SERVING INSTITUTIONS (HSI)

CUMU members serve diverse groups of students, close equity gaps, and are champions for social and economic mobility for all students. Several CUMU members are designated either Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) or emerging HSIs. According to U.S. federal law, HSIs are higher education institutions with 25% or higher total undergraduate Hispanic or Latino full-time equivalent (FTE) student enrollment. Institutions are considered emerging HSIs with 15–24.9% Hispanic or Latino FTE.
