The CUMU member-led Learning & Sharing Virtual Series launched in mid-March and for eight weeks, 91 presenters from across the CUMU membership presented over 50 sessions. The dynamic set of presenters included senior leaders, faculty, staff, graduate students and community partners. All sessions demonstrated the deep collaboration and partnerships to holistically address the most pressing needs and challenges of today:
- Holistic and collaborative approaches to student success and well-being
- COVID-19: response, re-engagement and innovation
- Aligning racial equity agendas with the urban mission
- Navigating budgetary realities and advocating for higher education support
As we all continue to adapt to the changing public health, economic, and political realities, ‘learning and sharing’ with members to discuss successes and challenges is more important than ever. At the same time, leaders are being pulled in many directions and it can be challenging to take time to reflect, evaluate and plan.
We are pleased to offer recordings from sessions, and know that they can provide useful tools for leaders to efficiently learn about best practices as we prepare for a new and better normal this fall and beyond.
DISCOVER BEST PRACTICES IN THE CUMU PROGRAMMING INVENTORY
Virtual programming throughout the year was a tremendous success and many benefits were realized, specifically with accessibility and access across and within member institutions. In the coming year, we will continue to host virtual learning opportunities—so stay tuned for more information later this summer.
