Thank you for your interest in joining the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities. CUMU membership is institutional and is open to colleges and universities, including community colleges, that identify with an urban-serving mission. Membership includes everyone on your campus—senior leadership, administrators, faculty, staff, students, and partners—and allows them participate in and benefit from CUMU.

Annual membership dues

CUMU membership is paid annually per fiscal year—July 1 to June 30.

• Annual dues are the same for all institutional members, regardless of size.
• Membership is open on a rolling basis.
• FY26 institutional membership dues are $3,900 (07/01/2025–06/30/2026).

Colleges and universities with multiple campuses that are accredited as one institution rather than multiple, separately accredited campuses can join with a single institutional membership. If your campuses are separately accredited, each campus must join with a separate institutional membership.
