Presented by: The University of Maryland, Baltimore

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) committed itself to a community-centered recovery during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Attendees will learn what UMB is doing to help support the community while recovering as an institution itself. The key takeaways from this presentation will include learning what it means to engage in a community-centered recovery plan, and how to leverage University resources to support our neighbors. The presentation will outline the specific community-focused programs UMB launched in response to the pandemic. This includes the Small Business Volunteer Program, a Wifi-for-All initiative, the Food For Our Front Lines Program, and the upcoming implementation of a Small Business Recovery Center. Attendees will walk away knowing the concrete impacts these community-centered projects have had during the pandemic, and how we plan to continue them moving forward.
