Are you a CUMU member interested in leading a CUMU Huddle in 2025? If so, this is your opportunity to propose your ideas.

CUMU Huddles are informal, online learning communities that bring together individuals from across CUMU’s network to learn, network, and explore key topics across five virtual meetings and one in-person meeting at that year’s CUMU Conference. In addition to a presentation or shared learning experience, at least 50% of each Huddle meeting is set aside for discussion and networking to ensure that Huddle meetings are interactive opportunities for participants to get to know and learn from each other. Each Huddle is led by one individual from a CUMU member institution who plans and facilitates all meetings and invites any guest presenters. The Huddle lead receives a stipend of $1,000 and free registration to the CUMU Conference. Huddle leads work closely with CUMU’s director of learning and engagement to plan and facilitate meetings. 2025 CUMU Huddle topics

2025 Huddles will include a Community Engagement Huddle, an Anchor Mission Huddle, and at least two additional Huddles on topics yet to be determined.

In your proposal, you may either propose a structure for one of the two defined Huddles (Community Engagement or Anchor Mission) or you may propose a topic and structure for one of the undefined Huddles. All proposals will be reviewed, and responses sent to submitters by August 31, 2024.

Two important notes for potential Huddle leads

  1. You do not have to have all the details worked out in this proposal to have a successful Huddle. In fact, as part of the process of working with CUMU to finalize your Huddle, you may find that your plans change. That is fine! Your proposal is not a binding agreement, and it is fine to note where there are open questions or ideas that are not in their final form.
  2. If you are not currently a member of one of our 2024 Huddles, your proposal will benefit from attending one or more Huddle meetings prior to submission. Learn more and register for a Huddle.
