Call For Nominations

The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities requests nominations of CEOs of Coalition member institutions to serve two-year terms (October 2016-2018) on the Coalition Executive Committee in these positions:

President
Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer
Member-at-Large (3 Vacancies)

The President is the chief executive of the Coalition, its principal spokesperson, and presiding officer for meetings of the Executive Council and Presidents’ Council. The President must ensure the continuous vitality of the Coalition and offer active attention and leadership toward fulfillment of the Coalition’s mission. The President is elected by the Presidents’ Council at its regular annual meeting to serve one term of two years in length.  No person may serve as President for two or more consecutive terms, and may be re-elected only after an intermission from the office of President for at least one term.  The President must be the CEO of a Member institution.

The Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer shares the same responsibilities as the President for the vitality of the Coalition.  The Vice-President/Secretary/Treasurer shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to the Vice-President/Secretary/Treasurer by the President or by the Executive Committee.  The Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer must be the CEO of a Member institution.

Members-At-Large are elected by the Presidents’ Council at its regular annual meeting to serve for a term of 2 years in length.
