The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities recently convened the 2024 Anchor Learning Network Action Summit in St. Louis, MO. Hosted by the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), leaders from 22 CUMU member campuses as well as local partners and guests gained insights from sessions at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the UMSL campus with a focus on the importance of data and metrics to support and advance the mission of anchor institutions and the economic impact of campuses in their regions.
The two-day summit featured presentations and experiences designed to provide participants with big-picture perspectives, practical examples, and deeper connections with a network of committed colleagues from across the U.S. Several presentations explored how data can be used to drive decisions, and participants loved both the big-picture ideas and the many specific examples that came from our expert presenters. CUMU would like to thank everyone who helped to make the 2024 Anchor Learning Network Action Summit a success. It would not be possible without the support of the University of Missouri–St. Louis, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and U3 Advisors. Thank you also to pastors Beverly and Ken Jenkins for showcasing the impressive work you’re doing at R&R Marketplace. And, to our dedicated CUMU members who gave their time and expertise; the deep conversations and connections people made across institutions will be impactful in advancing our shared work.
