Program and Policy Committee
The Program and Policy Committee is committed to keeping the Executive Committee aware of critical legislation affecting higher education and urban and metropolitan universities, and developing and fostering discussion on critical policy initiatives.
Since 2003, the Program and Policy Committee has been actively engaged in the public policy process, including but not limited to:
- Development of public policy topics affecting CUMU institutions
- Funding critical research on best practices in influencing state policy
- Advocating for Federal funding of community projects spearheaded by urban and metropolitan institutions
The Program and Policy Committee continues to reexamine its best practices and is focused on creating more initiatives that will better not only Coalition institutions, but those communities that our institutions serve.
