The Programs and Policy Committee
From the by-laws The Programs and Policy Committee shall consist of six delegates from Coalition member institutions, who shall be the CEOs of member institutions or the designees of CEOs of member institutions. The members of the committee should have diverse experience in institutional research, student affairs, academic affairs, and governmental relations/institutional advancement The Programs and Policy Committee is responsible for proposing, implementing, and supervising special programs of interest to members, consistent with the mission of the Coalition. Its duties include reviewing existing or proposed programs and key public policy issues and developing action and advocacy strategies for consideration by the Executive Committee. The committee shall annually review and recommend a plan for administration of the Ernest Lynton Research Program and the Paige Mulhollan Dissertation Fellowship. The Programs and Policy Committee Chairperson shall report to the Executive Committee and the Presidents’ Council at the Coalition’s regular annual Conference about the results of the committee’s activities and related expenses, and its future objectives. Program and Policy Email Discussions The Program and Policy Committee of CUMU is pursuing an initiative designed to stimulate attention to aid engagement with public policy related issues. The initiative will involve sharing articles, monographs, etc. for the purpose of stimulating discussion with an eye toward developing a significant policy related session at our annual meeting, October 18-21, 2008.
