Membership Dashboard

The Membership Dashboard provides users an interactive tool to visually inspect CUMU membership locations, compare and extract membership data.

The Membership Dashboard includes 135 data points for each member institution. The data in the dashboard provides a plethora of enrollment, financial aid, graduation/outcomes, institutional type (classification) and census information. The data were derived from ten sources of information. Members included in the dashboard were active members as of October 1, 2015. New CUMU members as well as new data sets will be updated annually. Currently, the Membership Dashboard only captures information for U.S. members.  The Membership Dashboard was developed by Dan Merian, Director, Enrollment Research and Analysis, with University of Michigan-Dearborn (a proud CUMU member).

About the data sources:

The institution specific enrollment, financial aid, Carnegie classifications, and graduation/outcomes data were extracted from the National Center for Education Statistics IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) Data Center. Census data was derived from the American Community Survey to include Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Area information for the membership universities’ metropolitan region they serve. To see a full list of the data points, their definitions, and the sources reference the Data Dictionary.
