President, Weber State University

I am one of those presidents with a long institutional memory. When I arrived at Weber State our institutional enrollment was slightly more than 5,000 full-time equivalent students. Much of our instruction was conducted in single-story buildings that were original to the campus. We took great pride in our small classes and personalized instruction. 2009 CUMU CONFERENCE -Post Conference Wrap-up

With a record attendance of 300, the 15th annual CUMU Conference hosted by Widener University was by all measurements a huge success.  This year’s conference “Building Community Resiliency: The Role of University Leadership” featured over 180 concurrent presenters and keynote speakers such as Jean-Michel Cousteau, Congressman Chaka Fattah, and Sherone Ivey, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of University Partnerships.   See just a few of the many great conference photos below!

WELCOME NEW MEMBER

KwantlenKwantlen Polytechnic University
Initially established as Kwantlen College by the Government of British Columbia in 1981 by splitting Douglas College, Kwantlen was designated in September 2008 under new legislation as Kwantlen Polytechnic University – BC’s Polytechnic University.  The University operates four campuses located in Richmond, Surrey, Cloverdale and Langley that serve over 885,000 people – 20% of BC’s population.  With over 17,000 students and 450 graduation credentials that include many new degrees awarded annually, Kwantlen provides students with an educational atmosphere and campus life that reinforces the University’s focus on student-centered teaching and learning with dedicated faculty.
