The deadline to submit proposals for the 2016 CUMU Conference "Charting the Future of Metropolitan Universities" has been extended from April 25th to May 3rd. The conference is a great opportunity to present your research or highlight your institution's impact on it's metropolitan community to presidents, chancellors, deans, and faculty members from our 90 member institutions
As a reminder, you can present your topic using whichever formats and presentation approaches works best for you:
30-minute Presentation: A 30-minute presentation illustrates an original paper, research, or best practice. 30-minute Presentations will be grouped together with another, relevant presentation, in a 1 hour session with 15 additional minutes for Q&A.
20-minute Presentation: Similar to a 30-minute Presentation, a 20-minute presentation illustrates an original paper, research, or best practice. 20-minute Presentations will be grouped together with two additional/related presentations in a 1 hour session with 15 additional minutes for Q&A.
Poster Presentations: A poster session is the presentation of research information illustrated using a 2 x 3 ft. poster board. Poster displays will be available for viewing during a joint reception and poster session open to all attendees
Thinking Big Dialogue: What keeps you up at night? These sessions should focus on engaging discussions or exercises that delve into relevant issues/questions. Attendees should expect to gain insight and hear alternative perspectives on a topic.
How-To: What processes worked for you? These sessions should focus on process/infrastructure/policy. Attendees should expect to walk-away with a clear set of actionable steps.
Proven Programs: What are you doing right? These sessions are informational in nature. Presenters will share case-studies of projects/partnerships/programs that are working at their institution. Attendees should expect to discover new programs and ideas.
