Metropolitan Universities Journal

MUJ IssueMetropolitan Universities Journal is a quarterly publication intent on helping your institution stay abreast of cutting-edge topics in higher education. Published by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) on behalf of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities, each themed issue reports in-depth on theoretical and applied aspects affecting colleges and universities. Articles are contributed by top scholars and administrators who bring diverse institutional perspectives to their ideas.

In the MUJ, you will consistently find the latest ideas, issues, and trends challenging institutions around the world, ranging from curriculum reform, student retention, fundraising and diversity. By subscribing, you can bring the most useful and engaging strategies to your own campus. Higher education is changing rapidly; the MUJ will help you change with it, propelling your university to the forefront of academia.

The MUJ is currently soliciting article proposals for an upcoming issue that will examine the role of intercollegiate athletics in contributing to the educational mission of metropolitan universities. The journal is especially interested in research-based articles which address how intercollegiate athletics both add to and detract from the academic experience of commuters, part-time students, students of diverse language and cultural backgrounds, and first-generation students.
