Presentation Introduction
This year’s conference, hosted by Towson University, will examine the growing collaboration between academic institutions and their communities. Providing a forum for faculty and administrators, dialogue and discussion will focus on institutional commitments by urban and metropolitan universities community engagement research, teaching, and field-work experiences.
Please join us for a thought-provoking meeting which will feature keynote speakers in the business, political, online learning, K-12, and higher education sectors. The conference will include plenary sessions, special topic panels, poster sessions, and special Coalition meetings.
Suggested Topics Include:
- Community Development & Partnerships
- K-16 Education & Outreach
- Collaborative Grants Proposals
- Institutional Development & Service Learning
- Workforce Needs Development
- Research Partnerships
Submitted proposals will be reviewed by at least two faculty members representing four Baltimore area colleges/universities. Conference presenters will be invited to submit papers to the Editor of Metropolitan Universities journal for possible publication in a future journal issue.
