Message from CUMU Presidents
Dear Colleagues,
Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati are proud to co-host the 14th Annual CUMU Conference. NKU and UC may be separated geographically by state boundaries and a river, but we have established a relationship that brings us together to work on important challenges facing the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. We are pleased to work together once again to host this national CUMU meeting and conference from October 18 to 21.
Our conference theme, “The Metropolitan University of the 21st Century: Building Bridges to Regional Stewardship,” presents urban and metropolitan universities the opportunity to exchange ideas, lessons learned, best practices and research as we each work to have an impact in our regions and our world. As more institutions identify with CUMU’s urban and metropolitan mission, the conference becomes increasingly important to ensure that we reach our full potential as individual institutions that are part of a collaborative coalition.
In addition, our conference location offers a region that is brimming with excitement, energy and opportunities. Our conference venue borders the scenic Ohio River. The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region is recognized not only as a top destination for all ages, but also a community that strives for innovation, quality of life and regional growth. It is widely known for its daring approach to culture and the arts, and offers top-notch shopping, dining, as well as cultural attractions.
Please join us in October for what will be a stimulating and enlightening conference.
Sincerely,
 |
